Friendly staff and delicious everything! I got paczki today but they have Polish buttermilk rye that is so good!

I bought TWO Loaves of Buttermilk Rye a Day before Easter and they were GREAT, light Brown in Color and Soft White Buttermilk Bread on the Inside, BUT When I went in this Morning to Purchase a Loaf , they were DARK BROWN and Hard on the Outside and the Young Woman told me that it was the DARK SEEDS That made the Bread that way, SO I bought the Polish Rye which She said it was the Same Except it has NO SEEDS and when i got Home and tried it, It was NOT the Same Buttermilk Bread. The OWNER and Manager Need to Find Out WHY The Buttermilk Rye is getting Overcooked and Burnt on Some Occasions, but PERFECT Other times, and the people working their should Explain Better the difference between the Breads that they Sell and SHOULDN'T SELL BURNT BREAD TO THEIR CUSTOMERS ON ANY DAY !

paczki's were the best I have had in years. will be placing an order again next year. everyone that we picked up paczki's for have been calling just going on and on about how full and amazing they were.

Good selection, prices quantity, quality and customer service. Wish they had caramel cake and yellow batter with chocolate frosting daily (only special ordered) parking is limited.

The selection is great. Wonderful variety of baked goods. The caramel apple cheesecake is soooo good. Breads, doughnuts, cakes and cookies as well as meats and cheeses. Only giving 4 stars because the employees seem absolutely miserable. They might slightly acknowledge you entering the door but I really believe that part of their training is to practice looking as unfriendly and angry as possible. Nothing personal could you try to crack a smile? Anyway, love what the bakery has to offer.

I like their cheesecakes a lot. However, every single time I come and I’ve been there maybe a handful of times, no one greets or acknowledges me when I come in. I always tell the ladies that and some ladies ignore what I am saying and a couple ( 2)have apologized. I do notice they acknowledge and greet everyone else. It totally is UNFAIR!

OMWOW! This place is wonderful. Friendly people delicious pastries. You can place orders ahead and they will box it up and have it ready upon your arrival. Very professional and evey visits is a treat because it's always something new that I haven't tried yet.

Their lil pieces of cheesecake are amazing, their cake is great they have a big selection of doughnuts and freshly baked bread

I've been going to East Detroit bakery since the 60's. Every trip back to EAST DETROIT, I always stop a couple of times to pick up things for my 95yr old mother. They have never disappointed. Everything is fresh and the staff over the years have been wonderful. The consistent product they put out is second to none. Best wishes to everyone there and thank you for keeping up the great reputation.

Coming here is always a real treat, literally! There are so many items to choose from, I always get to try something new and have a hard time not buying at least one of everything! Cakes, breads, cookies, scones, macarons, brownies and so much more on the bakery side, plus an entire deli section makes it easy to find something for everyone to enjoy! What I love the most though is how friendly and helpful the staff is, truly a great bunch of people everytime I go in. The blueberry pound cake was a big hit at my office, so fresh and moist and tons of blueberries in every bite topped with a sweet, light glaze was perfection! We also loved the beautiful Cherry Chip birthday cake!

The cheesecakes are amazing. The almond tea rings will bring a new light to your day. There is nothing here that will disappoint your baked goods cravings. They also have a pretty good deli counter for the much needed sandwich materials.

Super friendly and always have fresh, delectable desserts! My daughter loves the Oreo cheesecake and of course they have paczkis for Fat Tuesday. Their hours are great too. If you haven't been, don't wait any longer!

Was just here to buy donuts for my coworkers. The two ladies were very nice and helpful! I just had a donut and it was so good! They also had a nice variety of other treats. Definitely coming back!

Nice people! So kind and helpful. Great product and good prices.

Heard lots of good things, but wasn't impressed. Donut wasn't that special and chocolate icing on it was too skimpy. Cupcake had that whippy icing instead of buttercream frosting. Great selection of items is what gave them 3 stars.

What a lovely bakery. Came in looking for a birthday cake but I’m so incredibly picky with cakes I didn’t find what I was looking for (specifically for a berry Chantilly cake) but they had a great selection of everything. Got a cannoli and a lemon bar for some birthday treats regardless. The women working the counter were WONDERFUL. We were given samples of cookies and I was even given a few free cookies since it was my birthday. Really cute and comfortable and the cookies and pastries were excellent. 5/5, don’t listen to the negative reviews. This place deserves the support. Will absolutely be back.

Wonderful baked goods! Donuts are big, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend their cinnamon raisin bread, which is the best I've ever had. They have an incredible selection of cakes, single serving cheesecake, carrot cake and chocolate desserts. Everything is as good as it looks, you won't be disappointed!!

Great baked goods, best buttermilk rye ever and a Kowalski counter...what's not to love?

I love ED Bakery, their Apple Fritters are the absolute BEST EVER! I miss having them open at 6 am. Working at the hospital, I would stop every other Friday and pick up a dozen to take to work. Since the shutdown, Fridays have not been the same, and we all truly miss the BEST Apple Fritters around! PS - their paczki's are the best also!

VERY wide selection of fresh baked goods.. cheesecakes are awesome. Fresh bagels. Prices a little up there bit up there but the taste is worth it. Parking is not the greatest and right in the flow of traffic.

This the second time I have visited this Bakery and the cashier:worker refuse to give me a receipt I find that quite odd but get home and I been cheated out of five dollars never again will this happen again
